CS Conference Room, 206 Title: TripleO - OpenStack on OpenStack Abstract: Cloud Computing allows users with capabilities to store and process their data in a shared pool of resources. It enables increased velocity and drives agility. Openstack is one of the popular Open Source Cloud Computing platforms that is scalable. However, there is a significant learning curve in exploiting its capabilities. However, iIts reconfiguration and upgrade of this platform may involve bugs, entropy and sometimes hardware failures. We hypothesize that by leveraging Openstack services to optimize Openstack platform installation may increase service reliability and system availability. Openstack on Openstack (TripleO) is an endeavor to get rid of the fallacies in Openstack installation and configuration. It involves Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CICD) to reduce the opportunity of failures due to bugs. Entropy is taken care of by golden images that are placed on a separate state partition and are then mounted as read-only. The goal is to build a robust system to perform continuous integration and deployment of cloud at the bare metal layer.
